A fresh controversy has ignited within the South Sudan music scene, pitting Woja Music against John Frog, the celebrated music sensation known for his action-packed performances and high energy on stage. While fans congratulate John Frog on his recent acquisition of a Chevrolet Beast, Woja Music has chosen a different path, unleashing a barrage of criticism.
According to the President of Gurus Ketir Gang, Woja Music, the luxurious car paraded by John Frog on social media as a symbol of his newfound affluence was not purchased by him, but rather gifted by a Nairobi-based South Sudanese socialite known as Baby One.
Adding fuel to the fire, Woja Music questioned the authenticity of the car, pointing out that the license plate ending in “AY” typically corresponds to older vehicles, not brand new ones. This led to accusations of John Frog deceiving the nation by suggesting he bought the vehicle himself.
The debate over whether car factories are now fitting South Sudanese license plates before vehicles enter the country remains unanswered. Woja Music concluded by branding John Frog as a recipient of gifts, while positioning himself and Dj-Cent Mr No Rest as artists who have worked diligently to acquire their own assets.
The post has generated a flurry of reactions from prominent figures in the South Sudan music industry, including Silver X, while John Frog has yet to respond to the allegations surrounding his new machine.
