The National Revenue Authority reportedly collected 95 billion pounds for the fiscal year
2022–2023, according to the Minister of Finance and Planning. The collection of non-oil revenue increased from 43.4 billion pounds in 2021–2022.
According to Dier Tong Ngor, the collection is a component of the nation’s digitization of non-oil revenue collection and the Public Financial Management reform. The National Revenue Authority no longer receives direct payments from non-oil revenue collections, the ministry of finance announced on Thursday.
As the NRA began transmitting revenue collected to a single bank account and digitizing it,
Minister Tong said that the revenue collection had grown dramatically by 51.4 billion pounds.
Moreover, there has been a steady increase in non-oil revenue collection, from SSP 43.4 billion in the fiscal years 2021/2022 to SSP 95 billion in 2022/2023.
The adoption of recently created rules and the digitization of the NRA collection method is
responsible for the overall rise of $51.4 billion.
