Ja Morant displayed to his fans a preview of his new sneaker, The 2021-2022 All-Star posted a video clip on his social media of him unpacking the “Nike Ja 1” with his daughter, Kaari. His daughter’s name is also punched on the inner half of the shoe.
Morant wore his new footgear as the Grizzlies played their first Christmas Day game in franchise history. He becomes the 23rd player in NBA history to receive his own signature sneaker with Nike. The superstar guard has once again been sensational for the Grizzlies in his third NBA season, averaging 27 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 2022-23.
Many NBA Players are aspiring to ink a deal with any franchise just like myself but it is never that easy elaborated the superstar. He acknowledged definitely its a huge milestone for me and I am absolutely humble about the achievement.
Morant is the fifth active player, After Lebron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George, and Kevin Durant as Nike athletes with a signature shoe.
The sneaker complies with Nike’s new blueprint with the low-cut model Nike has used with present-day signature athletes. Persistently, Nike’s primary goal with basketball sneakers is putting first the comfort status for performance.
