Kuol has arrived in Edinburgh for talks with Hearts.
Newcastle United’s new signing Garang Kuol is in negotiation with Hearts about a possible loan shift to the Scottish premier league. The18 years old Australian teenager just concluded his transfer to Newcastle United from Central Coast Mariners of Australia earlier in the January transfer window.
Kuol has extra alternatives in Scotland and in the EFL, but there are three other Australian players at the Edinburgh club. World Cup team-mates Cameran Devlin, Nathaniel Atkinson, and Kye Rowles all play for Hearts.
Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe and director of football Dan Ashworth are keen for Kuol to stay in the UK if possible in January to get the experience of the physicality and pace. Kuol made 18 senior appearances for Central Coast Mariners and scored six goals before his move.
Hearts are optimistic that Kuol’s arrival in the Capital offers them an opportunity to swing him towards obtaining their offer.
Kuol was shown around the facilities at the Oriam Scotland complex where Hearts train and spoke with sporting director Joe Savage. Newcastle is ready to attend to the player’s desire concerning where he plays for the second half of the season, with Reading also interested in a loan deal.
The 18 years old can be deployed wide on the right flank or wide on the left and can also be utilized through the middle. He was a team-mate of Rowles at Central Coast Mariners last year and is regarded as one of Australia’s brilliant football prospects.
