At Least 3,000 Forces are deployed to secure Juba City.

The national police spokesperson, Maj Gen. Daniel Justin stressed that joint forces are selected from the SSPDF Tiger division, police, and national security.

Maj Gen Justin stated that at least 3,000 joint security forces have been deployed within Juba and the surrounding areas to maintain security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Minister of Interior, Inspector General, Chief of Defense Forces, and tiger division commander were present to brief the joint forces, they told Juba Gossip on Thursday evening. The security personnel would be stationed at strategic locations like road links entering the city from the states.

Maj Gen Justin also said movement into Juba with tinted cars without the two number plates will be restricted absolutely.

The police official also asked the off-duty security forces to avoid intoxication and remain on maximum alert in areas of their responsibilities.

Maj Gen. Justin further appealed to members of the public to cooperate with the officers during the celebrations.
